Hara Tsoukala on how being creative helped unaccompanied refugee children in Greece

Published on: 23rd May, 2022

Today Linda interview Hara Tsoukala. Amongst many roles she is a founding member of the Hellenic Theatre and Drama Education network (TENet-Gr).

In 2015 when Europe was confronted with the influx of refugees from countries like Syria, Iran and Afghanistan, she was heartbroken by the sights on the beaches. Amongst all these refugees there were many young boys and some girls, ranging from 10 to 18 who were unaccompanied by family or relatives.

Hara, and TENet-Gr, decided to take action and initiated the project 'It could be me, It could be you' and 'Monologues across the Aegean sea.' Listen to the interview to hear more on what happened.
